Happy Books Group Pty Ltd is seeking a Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a remote casual position offering flexibility for the right candidate. As a Part-time Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of our accounting services. What you'll be doing

Recording financial transactions accurately in accounting systems and ledgers

Processing invoices, receipts and expense documents for multiple clients

Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies

Preparing preliminary financial reports and statements

Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

Data entry and maintenance of client financial records

Assisting with payroll processing, superannuation and PAYG withholding compliance

BAS preparation

Working directly with clients to keep their books accurate and up to date.

Supporting the wider accounting team with administrative and bookkeeping duties as required

What we're looking for

Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting support role

Strong practical MYOB experience. Xero experience is beneficial.

Robust attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping

Solid understanding of general bookkeeping principles and practices

Competent with Apple iWork applications





Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts

Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members

Reliable and trustworthy approach to handling confidential financial information

Knowledge of Australian tax and superannuation requirements is desirable

Certificate III or IV in Accounting or Business is highly valued but not essential for experienced candidates
