A Teacher Aide will report to the relevant Learning Enrichment Coordinator. The Teacher Aide contributes to the College's vision and philosophy of delivering innovative and researched-based models of instruction underpinned by clear expectations and high-quality learning outcomes. The role also seeks to support teaching staff as they nurture and pastorally care for students.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

- Support teachers with classroom activities, lesson preparation and learning resources.
- Assist individual students and small groups, including students with additional learning needs and disabilities.
- Support students' academic, social and personal development.
- Maintain appropriate student records,



including NCCD documentation.
- Assist with classroom technology, resources, equipment and stock management.
- Support student supervision, health, safety, first aid and participation in excursions and sporting activities.
- Provide appropriate personal care assistance to students with disabilities where required.
- Refer student behaviour and discipline matters to the relevant teacher.
- Undertake general administrative and clerical duties, including additional duties such as rostering, timetabling or casual relief coordination where agreed.
- Participate in professional learning, meetings and College devotions.
- Provide professional, helpful service to students, parents and staff and positively represent the College.

Qualifications

- Possess a Certificate in Education Support, Individual Support or similar (Desirable)
- Hold a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Hold a current nationally recognised First Aid Certificate, including CPR, or be willing to obtain.

Previous experience supporting children or young people with physical disabilities and/or complex support needs, including mobility assistance, wheelchair use and personal care such as toileting, is highly desirable.
