Sushi Culture is a family-run Japanese restaurant group with stores across Sydney. Our Box Hill store makes fresh sushi and Japanese dishes every morning, along with a sushi train for dine-in customers. We take pride in quality, freshness and friendly service.

We are seeking two experienced cooks for our restaurant. The positions are full time based roles, and offer a competitive salary from $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.

To be successful in this role, you must:
- Have relevant CIII or CIV certificate in commercial cookery/ kitchen management
- Have at least 1 year of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen setting.
- Be a strong team player with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of food preparation techniques, hygiene, and safety standards.

Position Description:
As a Cook at Sushi Culture Box Hill, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, seasoning, cooking, and presenting a variety of Japanese and Asian-style dishes.
- Examining food to ensure quality and consistency before and after cooking.




- Planning and organizing the preparation and cooking process to meet service schedules.
- Managing stock levels and ordering food supplies as needed.
- Ensuring hygiene, cleanliness, and safe food handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Assisting with the training and supervision of junior kitchen staff where required.
- Collaborating with the team to develop and refine menu items.
- Maintaining a clean and efficient workstation in compliance with food safety regulations.
