Ipswich Carpet Court is a leading local flooring specialist. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality flooring solutions alongside exceptional customer service. As we prepare for a busy 2027, we are looking for an experienced Administration & Sales Support Coordinator to keep our showroom operations running smoothly.
We are recruiting for this position now for a start date of Monday 11th January 2027.
This isn't just a sit-behind-a-desk administration role. You'll play a pivotal part in the day-to-day running of our business, supporting our showroom, sales team, customers and suppliers to ensure everything flows seamlessly from the first customer enquiry right through to the finished flooring installation.
We're looking for someone who is more than just organised – someone who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, loves a positive to-do list, is great with people, has an eye for detail and can juggle multiple tasks without missing a beat.
What you'll be doing:
- Customer Service: managing incoming phone calls, emails & customer enquiries and assist walk-in showroom customers when sales staff are occupied.
- Sales Support: Supporting our sales team by staying one step ahead, spotting what needs to be done before anyone asks and making sure nothing slips through the cracks
- Correspondence & data entry: Preparing quotes, processing orders and entering customer information accurately.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Coordinate calendars for home measures, quotes, and installation schedules to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Order & Inventory Management: Process supplier orders, track delivery timelines, and verify stock availability.
- Invoicing & Accounts: Prepare client invoices,
process payments, follow up on outstanding deposits, and log supplier invoices into our accounting software.
- General Office Support: Maintain tidy showroom displays, manage office supplies and jumping in wherever needed to keep the business running efficiently.
Do you have what it takes?
- Proven administration experience is essential (minimum of 5 years in a busy office, retail, trade or construction environment).
- You're exceptionally organised and can juggle multiple priorities without breaking a sweat.
- You're proactive and love taking ownership of your work.
- You're confident communicating with customers, suppliers and team members.
- You're a natural problem solver who enjoys finding solutions.
- You're computer savvy and comfortable learning new systems.
- You have a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy being part of a team.
- You understand the importance of customer service and follow-through.
- You're reliable, enthusiastic and take pride in getting things right.
- A sharp eye for detail is critcal.
- You hold a current Australian drivers' licence.
What's in it for you?
- Competitive salary based on experience.
- A structured, stress-free onboarding process starting fresh in January.
- Enjoy a busy varied role where every day brings something different.
- Be an important part of our business that values initiative and teamwork.
We're not looking for someone who simply ticks boxes. We're looking for someone who sees what needs doing, takes ownership, thinks ahead and gets things done.
If you're the person who loves a well-organised day, takes pride in exceptional customer service and enjoys being the person everyone can rely on, we'd love to hear from you.
