Alphacool is seeking an enthusiastic and hands on Apprentice HVAC-R Technician, to provide assistance and learn from the HVAC-R tradesmen with installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and servicing of equipment, systems, and hardware related to all aspects of the air conditioning and refrigeration industry.

Responsibilities:

- Assist tradesmen with the install, maintenance, testing and servicing a large range of air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in accordance with Best Practice and Australian Standards
- Assist in attending breakdowns and fault finds




- Assist in conducting preventative maintenance and repair services
- Assist in reviewing recently serviced equipment and ensure performance is appropriate
- Performs basic troubleshooting and diagnostics on HVAC-R systems
- Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions effectively
- Assist with providing service reports to clients/customers
- Document service performed and maintain accurate records of tasks completed.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians, technical employees and customers
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Must work toward achieving the competencies set out in RTO Training Plan

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical coursework is a plus.
- QLD Driver’s licence
- General Construction Induction (White Card)
- Working at Heights
- CPR & LVR
- Asbestos Awareness
- ARCTIC licence (Trainee)
