Head Chef – BAMI Henley Beach

L&PK; INFINITY GROUP PTY LTD, trading as BAMI Henley Beach, is seeking a Head Chef for a full-time, permanent position at 21/330 Seaview Rd, Henley Beach SA 5022.

Reporting to the owner, you will coordinate day-to-day kitchen work and prepare and present consistent, high-quality food in accordance with BAMI Henley recipes, standards and service requirements. You will support the owner in the orderly operation of the kitchen.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare, cook and present menu items and specials to the required standards.

- Follow recipes, portion controls, presentation requirements and dietary instructions.

- Complete mise en place and coordinate effective service across kitchen sections.

- Monitor food quality, freshness, temperature and presentation, correcting or reporting concerns within your authority.

- Guide cooks, kitchen attendants and junior staff, and communicate effectively with the owner and front-of-house team.

- Monitor stock, shortages and wastage; assist with stocktaking, ordering preparation and receipt of deliveries.

- Follow the food-safety program, allergen controls, cleaning schedules, temperature records and hygiene requirements.





- Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas, equipment and storage; promptly report hazards, incidents and equipment faults.

- Provide practical on-the-job guidance, participate in training, and model respectful and collaborative workplace conduct.

Qualifications and skills

- A relevant AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree, or at least three years of relevant chef experience in place of these formal qualifications.

- Skills in commercial food preparation, cooking, presentation, recipe consistency and quality control.

- Ability to coordinate kitchen workflow and guide kitchen staff.

- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and allergen controls.

- Effective communication, teamwork and stock-control skills.

Salary: $81,000 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
