Checho’s is bringing its contemporary Mexican dining experience to Honeysuckle, Newcastle, and we’re looking for passionate and motivated kitchen professionals to join our team.

We’re building a strong kitchen brigade and looking for people who take pride in their work, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to be part of an exciting new venue.

- Experienced Cooks
- Chef de Parties (CDP)

About the Role

Working alongside our Head Chef and kitchen team, you will play an important role in delivering consistently high-quality dishes and maintaining an organised, efficient kitchen.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing and cooking dishes to a high standard.
- Maintaining consistency in food quality, flavour and presentation.
- Managing your section during busy service periods.
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace standards.
- Assisting with preparation, stock rotation and kitchen organisation.
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
- Maintaining a clean and organised workstation.

What We’re Looking For





- Previous experience in a professional kitchen.
- Experience in Mexican or modern cuisine is an advantage, but not essential.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for food, quality and presentation.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends.
