We are looking for a skilled and passionate Chef to join our Japanese restaurant - YAKINIKU HIBIKI team.

POSITION: CHEF

DURATION: PERMANANT

WORK TYPE: FULL TIME, 38 HOURS PER WEEK

WORKPLACE: Shop GD 181-182/154-164 Horton Parade, Maroochydore, QLD 4558

ANNUAL SALARY: $79,500 per year plus superannuation

You will perform the following tasks for the role:

- Lead and manage kitchen,

- Develop and plan menus,

- Supervise the activities of kitchen,

- Discuss food preparation issues with the restaurant manager,

- Check food to ensure its quality,

- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment,

- Prepare food for cooking,

- Cook food by a range of methods (e.g. baking, braising, frying, roasting or steaming),

- Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented,

- Clean food preparation areas and equipment,

- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities,

- Receive and store supplies,





- Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional,

- Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements,

- Give directions to other kitchen staffs,

- Train and supervise other kitchen staffs

To be successful, you must satisfy the following requirements:

· Demonstrated at least 3~4year work experience in the similar role within the food industry; or relevant qualification holder such as Diploma of Hospitality with Certificate III / IV in Commercial Cookery

· Proven ability to conduct the above tasks in kitchen

· Excellent cooking skills and unique recipes in Japanese cuisine
