APV Valuers and Asset Management – Brisbane QLD

APV Valuers and Asset Management (www.apv.net) is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineer to join their highly specialised team, we are looking for a civil or mechanical engineer with 1-3 years' experience.

The firm provides valuation services to the public, not-for-profit and private sectors with a strong emphasis on valuation under the accounting standards for the public and not-for-profit sectors. This includes the valuation of water, sewer, roads, bridges, drainage and footpath infrastructure assets.

Despite being a highly specialised valuation area, no previous experience with financial reporting valuations is required. APV uses its leading-edge software to ensure the valuations are fully compliant with the prescribed requirements. The successful applicant will also receive extensive training and on-going professional development.

APV is internationally recognised as leaders in Asset Valuation of public sector assets. APV's public sector client portfolio is dominated by local governments in QLD, NSW, WA, VIC and SA. However, we also have clients in other jurisdictions (including overseas) and across a range of sectors including state and federal government, universities, schools, hospitals, nursing and aged care, church and Not-For-Profit organisations.





Due to the nature of the portfolio, the role –

Involves extensive travel (potentially including overseas)

Requires a HIGH level of expertise in Excel.

Requires valuable analytical, inter-personal and communication skills

Key Criteria

- Applicant is required to have an appropriate Tertiary qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Appropriate training and mentoring will be provided on the job using in-house systems and processes. What is most key are your –
- interpersonal and communications skills,
- Sound understanding of modern construction techniques and project methodologies
- ability to write in a clear and concise manner,
- capability to analyse and manipulate data using tools like Excel ,
- a desire to develop a long-term career as part of a multi-disciplinary professional team, and
- willing to undertaken extensive travel on a regular basis throughout the year.
