Join Seers Digital and lead solution architecture for a major digital transformation supporting a major federal government client.

About Seers Digital

Seers Digital is an Australian technology consulting company delivering digital transformation, cloud, integration, automation and AI solutions. We work with major state and federal government agencies and organisations across banking, finance, construction and utilities.

Our teams combine technical expertise with a practical, collaborative approach to solving complex business challenges.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture and design of a digital ordering and payment platform.

Working closely with program leadership, project management, service design and business analysis specialists, you will translate user and business requirements into secure, accessible and supportable solutions. Your work will guide platform selection, procurement, implementation and transition to operational support.

This role combines architecture leadership with practical delivery oversight across applications, integrations, data, identity, payments, hosting and security.

What you’ll do

- Define the target architecture, solution boundaries, design principles and delivery roadmap.
- Lead solution design across digital portals, workflows, integrations, data, identity and access, payments, notifications, reporting and operational support.
- Assess existing Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions, identifying opportunities for reuse, migration and staged delivery.
- Translate service blueprints, user journeys and business requirements into architecture models, technical specifications and clear design decisions.
- Define measurable requirements for security, privacy, accessibility, performance, availability, resilience and supportability.
- Design APIs, information flows and integrations with enterprise platforms and external service providers, including error handling, reconciliation and monitoring.
- Establish secure authentication,

authorisation and role-based access for internal and external users handling sensitive information.
- Evaluate platform options and present recommendations covering cost, risk, scalability, interoperability and whole-of-life value.
- Prepare architecture documentation, technical requirements and evaluation criteria to support procurement and supplier selection.
- Provide technical leadership through design reviews, implementation, testing, migration, deployment and operational handover.
- Collaborate with cyber security, privacy, finance, records, operations and assurance stakeholders to resolve design issues.
- Communicate architecture recommendations and trade-offs clearly to technical teams, senior stakeholders and governance forums.

What you’ll bring

- Extensive solution architecture experience across complex digital transformation programs, preferably within Australian federal or state government.
- Demonstrated architecture leadership on at least two complex transactional, digital or workflow solutions, from discovery through implementation or operational transition.
- Strong experience designing applications, integrations, data flows, identity services and secure access controls.
- Experience delivering solutions with multiple enterprise or external service integrations using APIs, events, messaging or controlled data exchange.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Australian Government Architecture and Digital Experience Policy.
- Experience defining and assuring non-functional requirements, including accessibility, security, privacy, resilience and data residency.
- Strong architecture documentation, options analysis and design governance skills.
- Experience supporting procurement, platform assessment and vendor evaluation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement,

consultation and communication skills, with the ability to build agreement on complex design decisions.

Experience that will be well regarded

- Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, identity services, API management, payment gateways and SaaS platforms.
- Government services, legal technology or regulated environments handling sensitive information.
- Digital ordering portals, payment workflows and financial controls.
- Modular architecture, configurable business rules and staged integration with future enterprise platforms.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or architecture certifications, such as TOGAF or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
