The Opportunity

Working alongside senior engineering leadership, you'll play a pivotal role in evolving an established product into a sophisticated, enterprise-grade platform.

You'll be responsible for the architectural roadmap, designing scalable systems and building the technical foundations required to support rapid customer growth.

Importantly, this is a hands-on engineering role, not a people management position. You'll have the autonomy to make critical technical and architectural decisions while remaining actively involved in development.

What You'll Be Doing

- Own the backend architecture and drive the technical roadmap.
- Design and build scalable, data-intensive SaaS platforms.
- Develop robust data models,



APIs and enterprise integration frameworks.
- Architect event-driven systems, data ingestion pipelines and distributed services.
- Evolve AWS infrastructure using serverless and containerised technologies.
- Design secure, reliable multi-region infrastructure supporting international operations.
- Establish engineering best practices across performance, testing, security and observability.
- Collaborate with senior technical leadership and influence key product decisions.

What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of backend software engineering experience, with proven architectural ownership.
- Advanced expertise in TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL.
- Strong AWS experience, including serverless, containerisation and infrastructure as code.
- Experience building and scaling complex, multi-tenant B2B SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture and microservices.
- Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling and enterprise integrations.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach to solving complex technical challenges.

Experience with Supabase, DynamoDB, Terraform, AI/ML infrastructure or enterprise data platforms would be highly regarded.
