Experienced Cooks / Kitchen All-Rounder (Chinese or Vietnamese Cuisine Specialist, Asian food) AND cook with modern Australian cuisine

About the Role:
Discovery Cafe lunch bar in Bibra Lake is looking for a passionate, fast, and experienced Cooks / Kitchen All-Rounder and barista and wait staff to serve food to join our team . We serve a busy lunchtime crowd with a diverse menu featuring classic lunch bar favourites, rotating hot bain-marie specials, and popular Asian dishes. we also need someone with good experience in modern Australian cuisine. Its a great prospect for someone to work Monday to Friday and have weekend off and night off.

We are specifically seeking a cook with a strong background in Chinese or Vietnamese cuisine alongside some thai and indian cuisine. And another cook with great experience in modern Australian cuisine with strong food knowledge and taste in food who can also handle busy lunch bar operations. Whether you are a specialist cook or a versatile kitchen all-rounder, if you thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in your food, we want to hear from you! Experienced person must know how to cook multiple dishes in short time, manage your food cost, daily special between monday to friday and must have great taste in food. please mention in cover letter that which position you are applying for and why you are the right person for the job. We also looking for barista who can make great coffee and have great customer service skills. As a barista you should know about latest coffee trend, coffee art alongside how to impress customer with your presentation .

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook high-quality Chinese or Vietnamese dishes,thai,indian (e.g., honey chicken, stir-fries, curries) for our hot food display and daily specials.

- Cook and prepare classic lunch bar items, including short-order burgers, loaded fries, roasts, and hot fried sides, sandwiches and salads.





- Manage high-volume lunch service efficiently with a focus on quick speed-of-service and consistency.

- Assist with prep work, portion control, and keeping food costs aligned with kitchen targets.

- Maintain strict food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards at all times.

- For barista , someone got experience in coffee art , latest coffee trend and great customer service skills.

- Work collaboratively as an all-rounder to support the team during peak rush hours.

- Catering experience is highly appreciated.

- Charcoal bbq grill experience if you have that will be great as we have plan to extend the menu very soon

What We Are Looking For:

- Proven experience working as a cook in a fast-paced lunch bar, cafe, or commercial kitchen environment.

- Great knowledge of lunch bar cafe operation and bulk cooking in

- Someone with great experience in Asian cuisine or Vietnamese cuisine

- Someone with great experience in Modern Australian cuisine

- For barista and front of house staff, someone got great experience in customer service role, coffee art.

- Strong culinary skills in Chinese or Vietnamese cooking and Asian cuisine expert with the ability to bring authentic, excellent flavours to our menu.

- A true all-rounder mindset—willing to jump in where needed, from prep work to keeping the kitchen spotless.

- Exceptional speed and organizational skills to handle the morning and midday rush.

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

- Strong communication skills and a positive, hard-working attitude.
