This full-time or 3-4 days a week Optical Dispenser role is based at Mundaring Spectacle Maker in Mundaring, WA. The Optical Dispenser will assist customers in selecting frames and lenses that meet their visual needs, lifestyle, and budget, ensuring a high level of comfort and fit. Daily tasks include interpreting prescriptions, explaining lens options and coatings, taking precise measurements, and adjusting and repairing frames as needed. The role involves coordinating with optometrist and other team members to support eye exams and follow-up care, managing orders and inventory for frames and lenses, and maintaining accurate records. The Optical Dispenser will also handle customer enquiries, provide aftercare service, and contribute to a welcoming, professional store environment.
Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong optics and optometry knowledge relevant to dispensing eyewear and interpreting prescriptions.

- Candidates should possess basic computer skills and the ability to use point-of-sale and practice management systems.
- Certificate or formal training in optical dispensing, or equivalent experience in an optical or eye care setting, is highly beneficial.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work on-site full time, collaborate effectively in a small team, and maintain professional presentation.
