The clinic also serves as a satellite clinic twice a week for antenatal care of pregnant women to the Royal Women’s Hospital.

Role Description:

Strathmore Fanily Medical Centre offers a fully furnished consulting suite with cutting edge admiinistrative support for an incoming full-time, on-site VR General Practitioner role based at Strathmore Family Medical Centre in Essendon, VIC. All doctors get their everydays billings into thier account and clinic generates 30 % service fee on fortnightly basis.

The VR General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care, including patient consultations, diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, preventive health assessments, and care planning. Daily responsibilities include reviewing test results, prescribing medications, coordinating referrals,



and maintaining accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory and accreditation standards.

The role involves collaborating closely with the practice nurse, practice manager, and administrative team to ensure continuity of care and a positive patient experience. The practitioner will also participate in clinical meetings, contribute to quality improvement activities, and engage in ongoing professional development supported by the clinic.

Qualifications

- Current specialist registration with AHPRA as a General Practitioner and VR (Vocational Registration) status.
- Demonstrated experience in family medicine, including management of chronic disease, preventive care, and acute presentations.
- Robust clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making skills with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Proficiency in using clinical software and electronic medical records, with accurate and timely documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse patients and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, participation in quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to accreditation and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy general practice setting while maintaining a patient-centered, respectful, and culturally sensitive approach.
- Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM, or equivalent, and eligibility for Medicare provider numbers in Australia.
