Are you experienced in paint and looking for a hands-on retail role in a friendly, supportive environment?
PaintRight Springwoodis looking for a motivated and reliableRetail Assistantto join our team.
You'll be based primarily at ourSpringwood store, with occasional shifts atPaintRight St Marysas required.
Working closely with the Store Managers, you'll assist our trade and retail customers and help keep daily store operations running smoothly.
What's Involved
We have casual, part-time and full-time options available, depending on the successful candidate's availability and preferences.
Shifts are rostered Monday to Saturday (Saturday availability not mandatory).
For casual and part-time team members, additional hours may be available to cover staff leave.
Your Key Responsibilities
Greeting customers and helping them select the right paint, coatings and accessories
Providing knowledgeable advice on product selection, surface preparation and application, both in-store and over the phone
Accurately preparing and tinting paint orders
Making local deliveries to trade customers using a company vehicle
Building strong relationships with retail and trade customers
Maintaining store presentation and stock organisation
Supporting the team to grow retail and trade sales
Handling point-of-sale transactions and end-of-day procedures
What You'll Need to Succeed
Previous experience working with paint and sound paint product knowledge are essential
An understanding of surface preparation, coating systems and application methods
Positive communication skills and a customer-first mindset
Time management skills and the ability to work independently
Ability to safely handle and move paint products weighing *****kg, using appropriate equipment and assistance
Availability to work primarily atSpringwood, with occasional shifts atSt Marys
A current driver's licence for customer deliveries
