Senior Network Engineer | Cisco, Fortinet & Palo Alto
Take ownership of the design, implementation and support of secure enterprise network infrastructure across a complex Australian Government workplace.
Work with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies, alongside AWS and Azure cloud networking, to deliver reliable, high-performing network services.

Contract Duration:6 months, with 3 x 12-month extension options

Essential Tasks
Design, implement and maintain secure enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless and data centre network infrastructure.
Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs and load balancers across complex network environments.
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise network performance, applying automation, scripting and security best practices.
Develop network requirements for RFQs,



conduct technical and value-for-money evaluations, and provide technical recommendations.
Key Criteria
Extensive enterprise networking experience with Cisco, HPE Aruba, Fortinet and Palo Alto technologies, including routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.
Strong network monitoring, troubleshooting, automation and scripting capabilities across high-availability environments.
Proven experience implementing network security controls and delivering cloud networking solutions across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
Experience developing technical RFQ requirements, evaluating network solutions and producing clear technical documentation and recommendations.
