About us
Western Plains Correctional Centre is a modern, maximum-security prison focussed on rehabilitation, housing up to **** people in custody.
Western Plains features multi-purpose infrastructure which is adaptable to the evolving needs of Corrections Victoria and the people in our care.
Modern amenities include medical wards, a cultural centre, and vocational training facilities.
What you will do
As client services support officer, you will help keepessentialprison services running smoothly.
You will work mainly on site, including weekends and public holidays, with direct contact with people in custody.
You will:
providehelpfulcustomer service to people in custody, staff and visitors
manage mail and personal property throughsecurechecks, storage and delivery
process money and account transactions while keepingaccuraterecords
order supplies, check stock and support the prison shop
organisesafetransport of people and goods within the prison.
About you
You do not need a mandatory qualification for this role.
You should also have:




knowledge ofrelevant laws, policies and procedures
sound computer skills, including using office software or prison systems
an understanding ofstores, warehousing and workplace safety
arespectful, flexible approachto helping customers, solving problems and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
