Support Worker High Care Setting - Experience Required

About the Role
As a Support Worker at Rocky Bay, you'll support people living with disability to feel at home, build independence and live life on their terms.
You'll work with people with a range of disabilities, with customers with complex needs and behaviours.
Experience in the role supporting people with complex disabilities is essential.
Every customer is different, and your support will be tailored to the person.
Working within shared accommodation, you'll provide hands‐on support with daily routines, personal care, household tasks and mobility support.
You'll get to know each customer, understand what matters to them and support them to achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, PEG feeding, medication and household tasks
Build positive, trusting relationships with customers
Support customers to develop skills and independence
Support customers with mobility, transfers, hoisting and other physical assistance as required.
Follow person‐centred support plans and respond to individual needs
Maintain accurate case notes, timesheets and incident reports
About You
2 years experience in a high care setting
Experience in PEG feeding and hoist transfers for complex high care needs
Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and/ or autism
Knowledge of restrictive practices and safeguarding requirements




Passionate about supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives
Reliable, patient and person‐centred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience or knowledge of Active Support
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is
desirable
Valid Driver's Licence
