Key Responsibilities include:
Design and develop automotive products from
concept through to production
Convert design intent into
fully manufacturable CAD models and drawings
Develop and maintain
3D models, assemblies, 2D drawings, and BOMs
Support
tooling design and development
(billet aluminium production tooling)
Participate in prototype builds, testing, validation, and production trials
Manage engineering changes through




ECN / change control processes
Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and suppliers
Assist in resolving production issues and implementing design improvements
About You:
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
2-5 years' experience in product design for manufacturing, ideally in polymer or automotive industries
Strong
SolidWorks
capability (parametric modelling, assemblies, drawings)
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Industrial Design or a related field
Demonstrated experience designing parts for
production tooling
Practical understanding of:
Plastics and polymer manufacturing (rotational moulding desirable)
Metal fabrication and mechanical assemblies
Tolerances, fasteners, sealing, and mounting systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
