Position Purpose The Glazing Installer is responsible for the safe, efficient and professional installation of glazing, aluminium framing, façade, cladding and associated products on commercial, industrial and construction projects.
The role includes all aspects of commercial glazing installation, including site measurements, framing installation, glazing works, cladding installation, defect rectification, project handovers and compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities Glazing Installation Works Install commercial glazing systems in accordance with approved drawings and specifications Install aluminium framing systems, windows, doors, partitions and façade components Install glass panels including laminated, toughened, insulated and specialty glazing products Install sealants, gaskets, flashings and weatherproofing systems.
Conduct site measurements and set-out activities Read and interpret plans, shop drawings and specifications Identify and report design conflicts, variations and site issues Assist with loading, unloading and movement of glazing products and materials Safety Responsibilities Comply with all Company policies, procedures and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)



Participate in toolbox talks and safety meetings Conduct daily pre-start checks on tools and equipment Report hazards, incidents and near misses Maintain a safe, clean and organised work area Follow site-specific rules and Principal Contractor requirements Use plant, equipment and PPE correctly Quality Responsibilities Complete works in accordance with project specifications and Australian Standards Follow Company quality procedures and inspection requirements Participate in inspections, testing and commissioning activities Maintain accurate records and documentation Report defects, variations and quality concerns promptly Environmental Responsibilities Minimise waste and environmental impacts Comply with site environmental controls Prevent pollution and report environmental incidents Maintain good housekeeping practices Essential Requirements Qualifications Licences Construction Industry White Card Current Driver Licence Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Working at Heights competency (or ability to obtain) Experience (Negotiable) Commercial glazing installation experience Aluminium framing installation experience Experience working on construction sites Experience using glazing tools,



equipment and access systems Experience interpreting plans and drawings Skills Attributes Strong work ethic and reliability Ability to work independently and within a team Good communication skills Sound problem-solving ability Strong commitment to safety and quality Good physical fitness Desirable Requirements Trade qualification in Glazing, Glass and Glazing or related trade Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Licence Working at Heights training First Aid Certificate Experience on large commercial construction projects Experience using glass lifting equipment and vacuum lifters Tools and Transport Applicants must: Have reliable transport to and from work Supply and maintain their own basic glazing hand tools Maintain tools in a safe and serviceable condition Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Attendance and reliability Compliance with safety requirements and procedures Quality of workmanship Productivity and project delivery performance Completion of work to specification Housekeeping and site presentation Compliance with Company policies and procedures Teamwork and qualified conduct Physical Requirements The role involves regular manual handling, lifting and moving glazing products, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, working at heights, operating tools and equipment, and performing physically demanding construction and installation activities.
