to join our kitchen team at our aged care facility in Bowral.
If you love cooking and have a genuine flair for pastry and baking, this is a role where your creativity will be truly appreciated. Our residents look forward to mealtimes, and a freshly baked cake, a perfect slice or a beautifully made dessert can brighten their whole day.
About the role
Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents in a commercial kitchen
Bake and create cakes, slices, desserts, pastries and other treats, with the chance to add your own ideas and variety to the menu
Take pride in food quality, presentation and variety
Prepare meals that meet individual dietary, allergy and texture-modified requirements
Follow food safety standards and maintain a clean, safe and organised kitchen
Work closely with the kitchen team to deliver a smooth meal service
About you
Proven experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen




A real passion for cooking and baking
Understanding of food safety (HACCP) and dietary requirements
Pride in your work and an eye for presentation
A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team
Reliable and organised, with positive communication skills
Experience in aged care, hospital or catering kitchens, and knowledge of modified diets, is highly regarded but not essential.
Qualifications:
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience) preferred. A current Food Safety Supervisor certificate is desirable.
