About the Role
We're seeking an experienced
Civil Operator
to join our team based at our West Ballina depot, working on civil and electrical construction projects across the Northern Rivers region.
The role will involve operating excavators and other plant and machinery to support civil and electrical construction works, including trenching, backfilling, material handling and general site activities.
We welcome applications from experienced operators.
This is a casual position with an immediate start.
Regular hours are Monday to Friday, with some weekend work when required.
$45 per hour plus applicable penalty rates.
About You
Demonstrated experience operating excavators and other civil plant and machinery, including trenching and civil construction works.
Ability to work safely around heavy machinery.




Must be an experienced, competent and safety-conscious plant operator.
Experience working on utility network projects, including Essential Energy or Energex, is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively on large-scale construction projects while adhering to strict safety standards and procedures.
Show good attention to detail and have the ability to work in a team setting with a can-do attitude.
Be fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.
Able to pass daily breath testing and random drug testing on site.
Skills and Experience
Drivers Licence is essential.
White Card is essential.
Excavator operating licence
Highly Desirable
HR Licence
Multiple machine operating licences
Experienced in operating for civil works projects
