experienced Furnaceman / Furnace Operator
to join our growing team at our
Dalby Operations
.
About the Role
As part of our Melt shop team, you'll work within a dynamic manufacturing environment preparing molten metal for casting into sand moulds and maintaining furnace operations. This full time, permanent position offers a
38-hour week (Monday to Friday)
with
regular overtime opportunities
.
You'll report to the
Melt shop Team Leader
and contribute to a team that values quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain furnaces for metal melting and casting processes
Prepare molten metal for pouring into sand moulds
Maintain an organised and safe workspace, including equipment setup and charge preparation
Monitor temperatures, melting times and material quality




Follow all White Industries safety and environmental procedures
Support production schedules to meet lead times and quality standards
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll demonstrate:
Experience in foundry operations
, with
strong induction furnace knowledge
(essential).
A high level of attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
Commitment to following safety and operational procedures.
Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a proactive approach to teamwork.
Cert III in Engineering
(Moulder / Patternmaker / Coremaker / Metallurgist / Furnaceman / Pourer / Smelter) –highly regarded.
Forklift and/or Dogman tickets
–desirable.
