We are looking for an experienced and reliable
Motor Mechanic
to join our professional workshop team.
About the Role
As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing and repairing a wide range of passenger vehicles while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
Key duties include:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using up-to-date diagnostic equipment
Carry out scheduled and logbook servicing
Perform engine repairs and general mechanical repairs
Inspect, repair and replace braking systems
Repair steering and suspension systems
Diagnose vehicle performance and drivability issues
Carry out cooling system and transmission-related repairs
Perform tyre, wheel and related automotive maintenance
Test vehicle systems and components following repairs
Identify worn or defective components and recommend appropriate repairs
Complete repair and service records accurately
Ensure all work complies with workshop procedures and safety requirements
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Work effectively with other technicians and workshop staff
About You
We are looking for someone who has:




Relevant automotive mechanical qualification, such as
Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
, or equivalent
Previous experience working as a Motor Mechanic / Automotive Technician
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Experience servicing and repairing a variety of makes and models
Good knowledge of engines, brakes, steering, suspension and vehicle electrical systems
Ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and time-management skills
Current Australian driver licence or ability to obtain one
Experience working with
European and German vehicles
will be highly regarded.
