We are seeking a friendly and professional Casual Medical Receptionist to join our team at Armstrong Health in the growing Armstrong Creek community in Victoria. As a Casual Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients and supporting the smooth running of our medical practice. This is a casual position offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle.
What you'll be doing
Be available to work between the hours of 8 am to 6 pm depending on the roster Monday to Friday, Saturday from 8-30 am to 12:30 pm (rotating).
Greet patients, visitors, and guests in a warm and qualified manner.
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar effectively.
Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients.
Register patients, update their personal and medical information.
Coordinate and maintain patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Collect payments, issue receipts, and handle billing inquiries.
Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow.
Maintain a clean and organised reception area.
Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and empathy towards patients' needs.
What we're looking for




Previous experience working as a Medical Receptionist
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, clinicians and colleagues
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in using medical practice management software (Best Practice) and Microsoft Office applications
A friendly, empathetic and patient-focused approach
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding professional standards
Must be reliability and work well in a team environment
