Boilermaker / Fabricator - Rotating Equipment
FindStaff is seeking an experienced Boilermaker / Fabricator to join a leading engineering and industrial services business based in Dandenong South.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a trade-qualified Boilermaker who enjoys precision fabrication, welding and repair work on specialised industrial equipment. Working in a well-equipped workshop, you will be involved in the repair, refurbishment and manufacture of components used across a range of heavy industrial applications.
We're looking for someone who is not only a skilled welder and fabricator, but also mechanically minded and capable of problem-solving when working on unique repair and manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities
Perform MIG and TIG welding repairs on industrial components and equipment
Carry out weld repairs and refurbishment of shafts and rotating equipment
Fabricate and manufacture components for rotating machinery
Manufacture and repair parts for pulleys, screw conveyors and associated equipment
Read and interpret engineering drawings and workshop specifications
Assist with fitting, assembly and repair activities as required
Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
Maintain a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
Hours
Monday - Thursday: 07:30am - 04:30pm
Friday: 07:30am - 01:30pm
About You
To be successful in this role,
you will possess:
Trade qualification as a Boilermaker, Fabricator or equivalent
Proven experience with MIG and TIG welding
Strong fabrication and repair experience within an engineering or industrial workshop
Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Robust commitment to workplace safety
Highly Regarded
Experience working on shafts, rotating equipment or industrial machinery
Fitting and assembly experience
Experience with conveyors, pulleys and other bulk materials handling equipment
Forklift, Dogging or Overhead Crane tickets
Experience within mining, manufacturing or heavy industrial environments
