About the role

Lead the day-to-day operations and continued development of a small retail business in the local community. This role combines retail sales, staff leadership, business improvement and team development, with the prospect to help move the business forward.

Key responsibilities
Manage daily retail sales and business operations.
Lead, support and motivate staff to achieve robust results.
Identify opportunities to develop and grow the business within the local setting.
Support self-learning and provide training to staff.
Contribute ideas and practical initiatives that move the small business forward.
Maintain knowledge of products, services and customer needs.

What we're looking for
Experience in retail management.
Strong knowledge of aquarium fish or a desire to learn alot about aquarium fish on the job and at home
Small business management skills and a practical approach to business development.
Strong leadership and people management capabilities.
A commitment to ongoing learning and staff training.
Knowledge of aquarium fish is desirable, where possible.
The ability to contribute positively to a local retail business and help achieve better results.
