ABOUT THE ROLE
As AI Lead, you'll drive the design and integration of advanced AI capabilities across an enterprise-grade product suite. You'll own the AI architecture and technical roadmap, set the standards the engineering team builds to, and stay hands-on in designing and delivering AI features into production. This is a technical leadership role with no direct reports.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead the architecture and implementation of AI features, including generative and agentic AI capabilities
Scope and design AI components that integrate seamlessly with existing software stacks
Set engineering best practices for AI development and act as the go-to technical authority and mentor for the engineering team
Architect scalable,



AI-enabled features for cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP)
Partner with product and data science teams to align AI solutions with business objectives and compliance requirements
Ensure AI architectures support robust evaluation and continuous monitoring for accuracy and reliability
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
10+ years in software engineering or technology development, with significant hands-on experience in AI architecture and implementation
A proven track record designing and deploying generative and agentic AI solutions
Strong grounding in software engineering principles, data storage and cloud architecture
Strong technical leadership, problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to influence without authority and produce clear technical documentation (e.g. UML)
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
Familiarity with web technologies and frameworks such as React and Spring is highly regarded
WHAT'S ON OFFER
$180,000 - $200,000 base + superannuation

KEY INFORMATION
This role is based on-site in Adelaide, 5 days per week
