We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineerto join our team for a fast-paced, hands-on position that will give you the chance to test spaceflight hardware!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design of a variety of components and sub-assemblies for Valiant Space's propulsion systems, including for flight hardware and ground equipment.ResponsibilitiesSupport design efforts across Valiant's product range, including thrusters, valves,



and propellant tanksDevelop mechanical hardware for ground testing equipmentPerform combined structural and thermal analysis on critical flight hardwareConduct acceptance testing of finished products and systemsContribute to team efforts of overall product designMinimum Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceBachelors Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fieldAbility to work autonomously in a demanding startup atmosphereHigh proficiency with Autodesk Fusion360 or equivalent CAD packagesExperience conducting FEA and interpreting resultsExcellent communication and time management skillsExcellent attention to detailDesired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience>3 years of relevant aerospace experienceExperience with pressure equipment / fittingsExperience with scripting languages (e.g. Python, Matlab).
