This is an estimating role where your pricing directly drives the pipeline of an established, growing commercial builder.About the businessOur client is a well-established commercial builder with more than a decade of delivery behind it.
They deliver current builds and refurbishment projects of up to around $12M across community and civic, childcare, education and commercial sectors, with a growing share of Design & Construct work.
The business is in a growth phase, and estimating sits at the centre of it.The roleYou'll own tenders from documents through to submission, working closely with the project managers, design team and leadership to price work accurately and competitively, shape D&C; solutions and help decide which bids are worth chasing.What you'll doReview tender documents, drawings and specifications and prepare detailed cost estimatesMeasure and quantify materials, labour and plantSource, analyse and level supplier and subcontractor quotesIdentify risks, opportunities and value-engineering optionsPrepare and submit tenders on time, including cost breakdowns and project budgetsWork with the design team to develop accurate D&C; estimatesAttend pre-tender meetings, site inspections and client briefingsBuild strong relationships with suppliers,
