It's an organisation that is respectful of its heritage but firmly focused on its future, and its finance function is a key part of that journey.About the RoleReporting to the Head of Finance, you'll lead a professional finance team in a dynamic business in a growth phase, with best practice and efficiency firmly on the agenda – a genuine opportunity to lead change and make your mark.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the end-of-month process across five entities, guiding the team through each stepPrepare, review and finalise month-end financial statements and commentaryProvide insightful financial analysis to support decision making and identify opportunities for improvementOwn balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation entries and intercompany accounts, ensuring general ledger integrityPartner with operations on gross margin, inventory and manufacturing variances to explain what is driving resultsReview and lodge BAS,



prepare the FBT return and support end-of-year processes, liaising with external accountantsDrive continuous improvement across finance processesCoach and develop the team, maintaining a high-performing, commercially minded finance cultureSkills & ExperienceDegree in Accounting or Finance and CPA/CA qualification preferred, or well progressed and committed to completingProven experience running month end and leading a diverse finance teamStrong balance sheet, consolidation and intercompany accounting skillsRetail and/or manufacturing experience (highly regarded)Commercial acumen and a strong interest in reporting that drives decision-makingSystems and data-savvy, with experience in an ERP setting (QAD advantageous) and a continuous improvement mindsetA people-focused leader with high emotional intelligence who builds trust and communicates clearly at all levelsBenefits & CultureYou will be joining a supportive, engaged finance team that is passionate about lifting performance and genuinely enjoys working together.
