Brisbane-based engineering contractor is seeking a Controls Engineer to take ownership of core clients industrial control systems solutions from design through to handover across multiple sectors.You will use your exceptional customer focused consulting skills across Schneider, Siemens, and Allen-Bradley platforms, developing continuous improvement solutions across, control narratives, PLC and SCADA interfaces for advanced manufacturing facilities, water treatment assets, and emerging energy sectors.What You'll Do:Control system design and PLC programme consulting to industrial automation and manufacturing applications.
Develop control narratives, implement logic across multiple PLC platforms, build HMI operator interfaces, and support FAT and SAT activities.This is a technically sound controls engineer role that requires excellent written and spoken communication skills with direct client engagement.
You will understand client processes, deliver practical control solutions,



and see systems through from design to live operation.Required ExperienceTertiary qualifications in Electrical or Electronics Engineering4-7 years minimum industrial automation or manufacturing controls engineeringStrong PLC programming across Schneider (Unity Pro), Siemens (TIA Portal/Step 7), or Allen-Bradley (Studio ****)SCADA platform experience (Citect, WinCC, FactoryTalk, or equivalent)HMI development and commissioning capabilityField troubleshooting experience with logic, communications, and instrumentationComfortable with site travel for commissioning activitiesAutonomous working capability with collaborative approachIndustrial protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP), VSD programming, or renewable energy systems (solar/BESS inverters, grid integration) are valued additions.Package & LocationCompetitive salary plus site allowances.
