You'll work closely with the project leaders to uphold Macmahon's safety, compliance, and client standards ensuring our sites operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements.About the RoleWith a commencement date of November **** and reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance, this site-based role is suited to an experienced surface mining professional who is passionate about safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
You will partner with leaders and work crews to foster a robust safety culture, drive compliance outcomes,



and support the achievement of operational objectives.ResponsibilitiesDrive implementation and compliance with the HSEQ Management PlanProvide coaching and guidance to leaders and teams on HSEQ systems and practicesLiaise with clients on WHS performance, including lead and lag indicatorsSupport and participate in incident and accident investigationsFacilitate risk assessments to identify, control, and reduce operational risksMaintain and improve corrective action and hazard reporting processesConduct site inspections and audits aligned with safety plansComplete monthly safety reports and daily system updatesSupport injury management and return-to-work processesPromote wellbeing by monitoring mental health and connecting team members with support services What You'll BringProven experience in a similar HSEQ role within surface miningTertiary qualification in Occupational Health & SafetyExperience implementing and maintaining HSEQ systemsIncident investigation training (e.g. ICAM)Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsSenior First Aid & Mental Health First Aid certificationSenior & Mental Health First Aid CertificateCommitment to safety, respect and doing things the right wayRoster: DIDO 7:7Competitive benefits package including:Paid Parental Leave for primary carersRetail discounts (including homewares, outdoor gear, fuel and groceries)Novated leasesComprehensive wellbeing programWhy Macmahon?
