Join a highly regarded property practice acting on complex development transactions for some of Australia's leading developers, investors and property owners.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate (5+ PQE) to join a well-established Sydney property team recognised for its depth of expertise across major development projects, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and leasing matters.
The practice advises clients across a broad range of asset classes, including residential, industrial, commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure, retirement living, aged care, hotels and rural assets.
This role offers the chance to work directly with respected property partners on significant transactions while enjoying genuine autonomy, strong mentoring and a clear pathway for career progression.
The Opportunity
You will play a key role in advising a diverse range of property and development clients on matters including:
Acquisitions and disposals of major commercial, residential, industrial and development sites
Property development transactions and project structuring
Joint venture arrangements and development agreements
Put and call option arrangements
Commercial, retail and large-scale portfolio leasing
Due diligence, transaction management and negotiations
Strategic legal and commercial advice to sophisticated property clients
You will have day-to-day carriage of matters,



direct client contact and the opportunity to take ownership of significant transactions from inception through to completion.
About You
To be successful, you will ideally possess:
5+ years' post-qualification experience
Strong property law experience gained within a reputable private practice team
Experience acting on acquisitions, disposals and development transactions involving commercial, residential, industrial or rural assets
Leasing experience, particularly commercial and retail leasing
Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
Experience managing transactions through PEXA and a strong understanding of property law principles
The ability to run matters autonomously while working collaboratively within a broader team environment
Strong commercial acumen and client relationship skills
