Experienced Aluminium Welder / FabricatorGenFab Engineering is seeking an Experienced Aluminium Welder / Fabricator to join our team in Caloundra West, QLD.
This is a full-time position (6am to 2pm with occasional overtime) that plays a vital role in our operations, delivering high-quality fabrication and welding services to our clients.
As an experienced professional in this field, you will be responsible for executing precision welding and fabrication work on aluminium screens, balustrades and components.Key responsibilitiesPerform skilled aluminium welding using various techniques including TIG and MIG welding processesFabricate and assemble aluminium components and structures according to engineering drawings, and specificationsInspect and check work to ensure quality standards and fit for purpose requirementsPrepare materials and workpieces for welding and powder coating, including cutting, grinding and positioningMaintain welding equipment and machinery, performing routine maintenance and reporting any defects or issuesCollaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and production targetsFollow all workplace safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environmentIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.What we're looking forProven experience as an aluminium welder and fabricator, with a minimum of 3-5 years in the tradeDemonstrated proficiency in TIG and MIG welding processes on aluminium materialsStrong understanding of welding symbols,
