The work will be under the supervision of senior engineers and managers, to assist in training and professional development.Key responsibilitiesTender estimation and preliminary designConstruction inspection & quality managementSite visits, inspections, and supervision of piling workProvide supervision to junior engineers where requiredSound commercial understanding of projects, including scope inclusions/exclusions and project risk profilesAbility to produce innovative design solutions to complex problemsPreparation of project drawings and schedules,
using Auto CAD 2 D and Microsoft OfficeAssist with QA & QC activities including attending site inspections for piling, capping beam and bracing works, site inspection reports, pile records and as-constructed schedules, and providing certification as requiredDevelop and maintain positive relationships with Clients and SuppliersAbout youEducation Bachelor's Degree or Higher Degree in the related fieldRPEQ certification is preferred, but not compulsoryAbility to provide design certification where required, e.g., basement stability certification, certification reports, piling build-over sewer approvalAbility to attend client meetings independently and lead discussion around design solutionsAt least 3 + years of Australian Experience or Overseas ExperienceAustralian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights HolderStructural and/or geotechnical experience is highly valuedExperience in designing retaining piling walls and proficiency in finite element software such as Plaxis, Slope/W, Seep/W, RSPile, Msheet and Abaqus, is highly valued.
