An opportunity is available for an experienced parts skilled to support parts department operations, oversee inventory and help deliver reliable service to customers.
Your Role
As Assistant Parts Manager, you'll support the day-to-day running of the parts department, working closely with the team to maintain stock availability, manage customer requirements and ensure efficient operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Parts Manager with daily department operations
- Coordinating parts enquiries, orders and customer requests
- Monitoring stock levels, inventory accuracy and replenishment
- Assisting with purchasing, receiving and dispatching parts
- Supporting and guiding team members to maintain service standards
- Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Resolving parts-related issues and following up on outstanding orders
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring workplace safety procedures are followed
About You
You're a hands-on parts professional with strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
You'll bring:
- Previous experience in a parts department, ideally within the automotive or heavy vehicle industry
- Experience with inventory control, ordering and stock management
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- The ability to support and motivate a team
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Confidence managing competing priorities in a busy environment
- A commitment to safety, accuracy and continuous improvement
