Multiple vacancies are available for an Allied Health Professional (AHP)orProfessional Officer (PO)to join the Elizabeth team as a Senior Social Worker, Senior Case Manager, Social Worker or Case Manager. You will uphold high-quality response measures to safeguard the safety and well‑being of children and young people.

Applying your skilled expertise and dedicated knowledge of social work and case management practices will strengthen the independency of vulnerable youth. Your workplace undertakings are vital to actively support clientele in rebuilding stable environments that place a child’s rights and interests at the forefront of decision‑making.

These vacancies can be filled by either a qualified Social Worker (AHP2/AHP1) or Professional Officer (PO2/PO1), depending on relevant qualifications and experience.

Essential Qualifications:

- AHP (Allied Health Professional) positions require applicants to hold a Social Work qualification and be eligible for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- PO (Professional Officer) positions require relevant qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or other related fields.

Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification,



may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).

As a Senior Social Worker/Senior Case Manager, you will:

- Oversee complex case management that supports the safety of children and young people
- Handle investigations and assessments that analyses child protection related issues
- Employ appropriate response measures to resolve notifications of abuse that adheres to strict departmental regulations
- Generate written and verbal intervention reports that distinctly highlight child protection frameworks.

As a Social Worker/Case Manager, you will:

- Safeguard the protection of children and young people through sound case management and inclusive practice
- Conduct regular visitations to fortify the independence and emotional security of clientele
- Apply DCP’s Practice Approach to incorporate evidence-based research to reflect robust case management
- Maintain accurate information surrounding clientele using the C3MS system.
