Lime Recruitment is currently working with a Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Principal Advisor (Change and Communication). In this role, you will excel across organisational change management and strategic communications within the Digital Strategy and Partnerships unit—creating compelling change narratives, engaging stakeholders, and ensuring seamless employee adoption during major technology and business process transformations.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate end-to-end business change activities and develop key artefacts, including communication plans, stakeholder maps, detailed impact assessments, training plans, and business readiness assessments.
- Lead the development of Change Impact Assessments and change responses relating to current business processes, system changes, and solution rollouts.
- Develop and deliver broad and targeted strategic communications across multiple channels (SharePoint, social media, electronic media, print) to keep stakeholders fully informed.
- Design and implement comprehensive training plans and support materials to maximise the adoption of new systems and ways of working.
- Engage, support, and coach senior leaders, project executives,



and managers to guide teams effectively through organisational transitions.
- Represent the project in complex communications, negotiations, and collaborations with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Assess change readiness across production releases, support go-live activities, monitor adoption, and evaluate overall change effectiveness to recommend continuous improvements.

About You

- 8+ years of experience in change and communications management on large IT systems projects or programs of work.
- High-level experience designing and implementing change initiatives, particularly for IT-centric modernisation projects.
- Significant track record of conducting change impact assessments and building relationships to engage end-users and leadership through change.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and executing multi-channel communication plans and capability-building training strategies.
- Desirable: Prosci or APMG Change Management certification, relevant tertiary qualifications, and exposure to ICT projects such as Microsoft 365 migrations or enterprise IT systems.
- Leadership capabilities consistent with the Leadership Competencies for Queensland (LCQ) framework.
