About the Role

As a Disability Support Worker, you'll provide support within Supported Independent Living (SIL) environments and the broader community, helping participants build skills, increase independence and achieve meaningful outcomes.

No two days are the same. You'll be part of a team that empowers people to live the life they choose while creating positive outcomes every day.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Supporting participants with personal care and daily living activities

- Assisting with medication administration within scope of practice and training

- Supporting participants with mental health and psychosocial disability needs

- Implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans





- Supporting participants with diabetes management and other health-related supports

- Assisting with bowel care and other specialised supports as trained

- Supporting community access, social participation and recreational activities

- Transporting participants to appointments and activities

- Encouraging choice, independence, dignity and skill development

- Completing accurate progress notes and documentation

- Building positive relationships with participants, families and professionals
