About the role

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Educators to join our team on a full-time traineeship basis. As an Educator Trainee at Sprout ELC Wamberal PL located in Wamberal, NSW 2260, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment for children. This traineeship will provide you with practical experience and professional development as you work towards your early childhood education qualifications. Your work will directly impact children's learning, growth, and happiness during their crucial early years.

Key responsibilities

- Supervise and care for children in accordance with duty of care requirements and centre policies
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities that support children's developmental milestones
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive setting that promotes children's wellbeing and confidence
- Maintain clean and hygienic spaces, managing routines such as meals, rest time, and personal care
- Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, behaviour, and learning experiences
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure consistency and quality care across the centre




- Observe and document children's learning and development to inform future planning
- Support the implementation of the centre's educational curriculum and learning framework
- Maintain accurate records and follow centre procedures and policies
- Participate in professional development activities and training as part of your traineeship

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families, and colleagues
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Physical capability to manage the demands of caring for young children
- A commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and inclusive learning environment
- Willingness to learn, take on feedback, and develop professionally
- Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
- Relevant immunisations and health screening as required by legislation
- Reliability, punctuality, and a positive attitude
