Equifund Financial Group is a growing national finance brokerage specialising in asset and equipment finance across the transport, construction, mining and agricultural industries.

We are looking for a proactive, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to expand our network of referral partners and generate new business opportunities.

This is a varied role combining time in our Bondi Junction office with getting out on the road, meeting potential partners, building genuine relationships and creating long-term referral channels.

The opportunity

You will take ownership of identifying, approaching and developing relationships with businesses and professionals who can refer customers requiring finance.

Potential partners include:

- Truck, machinery and equipment dealerships.
- Vehicle dealerships and automotive businesses.
- Accountants and financial advisers.
- Mortgage brokers and other finance professionals.
- Equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
- Industry associations, business networks and complementary service providers.

Your focus will be developing partnerships that generate consistent, high-quality finance opportunities for Equifund.

What you will do

- Identify and prospect potential referral partners across Sydney and surrounding regions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with dealerships, brokers, accountants and other introducers.
- Schedule and attend face-to-face meetings, presentations and networking events.
- Clearly communicate Equifund’s finance solutions and the value we offer referral partners.




- Create and execute strategies to grow and strengthen our referral network.
- Maintain regular contact with existing partners and identify additional business opportunities.
- Work closely with our brokers and internal team to ensure referred customers receive outstanding service.
- Track partner activity, opportunities and pipeline performance using our CRM.
- Represent Equifund professionally across relevant industry events and business communities.
- Meet agreed targets relating to current partnerships, referral activity and generated business.

What we are looking for

- Demonstrated experience in business development, relationship management, partnerships or B2B sales.
- Experience within asset finance, equipment finance, automotive, commercial lending, broking or a related industry is highly regarded.
- Confidence approaching new businesses and building relationships from the ground up.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to work independently.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline and using CRM systems.
- An existing network of relevant referral partners would be advantageous.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly for meetings.
