THE ROLE

Marion Leisure & Fitness Centre (MLFC) is a busy community hub delivering health and fitness services to the local community. The Customer Care Coordinator is a key part of the centre’s leadership team, responsible for all frontline services including customer care, café and merchandise.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, you will lead and develop the customer care team, making sure every member and guest receives the highest level of service. You will manage the day-to-day frontline operation, support membership and program promotion, and take ownership of team culture, performance and development. This role also includes direct rostered customer service shifts. This is a part‑time opportunity offering 25 hours per week, providing great work‑life balance for the successful candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the performance, culture and development of the customer care team
- Manage frontline operations, POS data integrity and end of day banking, investigating any variances
- Coordinate customer feedback through email and AskNicely, resolving concerns professionally
- Work with the Centre Manager and Health & Fitness Director to achieve sales targets and reduce member cancellations
- Oversee café food safety compliance and the centre’s merchandise and product range
- Recruit, onboard, coach and roster staff
- Champion a positive work health and safety culture across the centre

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Successful candidates will also have, or be willing to obtain:

- (HLTAID011) Provide First Aid or equivalent
- (HLTAID009) Provide CPR or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within the health and fitness industry, hospitality industry or equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal skills and highly developed communication skills
