Project Manager – Electrical & Telecommunications Infrastructure

Alliance SI is continuing to grow across NSW, and we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of electrical and communications infrastructure projects across data centre and critical infrastructure environments.

This role will suit someone with strong project management fundamentals who understands what it takes to deliver technically complex projects in fast-paced, high-expectation environments. You'll work across projects supporting Australia's digital infrastructure, with a strong focus on data centres, hyperscale environments, AI infrastructure, electrical systems and communications networks.

You'll have genuine ownership of your projects from mobilisation through to handover, backed by experienced Program Managers, delivery teams and an established national business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Lead end-to-end delivery of data centre electrical and communications infrastructure projects from mobilisation through to handover and closeout.
- Manage project scope, programme, budgets, forecasting, procurement, resources, WIP, invoicing and overall commercial outcomes.
- Coordinate electrical, structured cabling, fibre and communications workstreams within complex data centre environments.
- Build trusted relationships with customers, consultants, subcontractors, site teams and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving.
- Lead Supervisors, Technicians, Apprentices and subcontractors while setting explicit expectations for safety,



quality and performance.
- Identify programme, technical and commercial risks early, manage variations and change, and take timely action to protect delivery and margin.
- Oversee HSEQ, quality, documentation, reporting and handover while identifying opportunities to improve delivery and customer outcomes.

WHO WE'RE HOPING TO MEET

You're likely already an experienced Project Manager working across data centres, electrical infrastructure, telecommunications, communications, ICT infrastructure or another technically complex construction environment. You don't need to have spent your whole career in data centres, but you do need strong project management fundamentals and the confidence to work across both electrical and communications delivery.

- You take genuine ownership of projects and understand how to move from estimate and handover through planning, delivery, invoicing and closeout.
- You are commercially confident across budgets, forecasting, cost control, WIP, variations and project reporting.
- You communicate naturally with customers, consultants, subcontractors, site teams and senior stakeholders.
- You are comfortable managing multiple workstreams and priorities in fast-moving,



high-expectation or mission-critical environments.
- You lead people with clear expectations and accountability, and you care about safety, quality and doing things properly when programme pressure increases.

THE EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS

- Around 5+ years of relevant project management experience across electrical, communications, telecommunications or data centre infrastructure is preferred.
- Strong practical electrical and communications knowledge is important; an electrical trade qualification or current licence is highly regarded.
- Telecommunications experience and ACMA registration are desirable.
- Exposure to data centres, hyperscale, AI infrastructure, critical infrastructure or other mission-critical environments is highly regarded.
- Experience with project management, estimating, reporting and document-control systems such as SimPRO, SharePoint, Bluebeam or Groundplan will help you succeed.
