About the Role:
The Nursery Assistant(Production and Sales) supports the day-to-day operations of theseed production program and wider nursery activities, working underthe guidance of senior staff to assist with the propagation, care,and preparation of native plants.
The role also performs retail activities assisting customers withplant and product selections, providing advice, and responding toinquiries. The position also plays a key part in presenting andmaintaining plants and nursery products to a high standard, alongwith supporting the general upkeep of the nursery and the displayof garden beds.

Contract:
Contract for up to 12 Months
Essential Criteria (includingqualifications):
- Is able to communicate horticultural knowledge clearly tothe public.
- Ability to work effectively as a part of a team in aproduction environment.
- Valuable communication and problem-solving skills.
- Some knowledge of horticultural practises, ideally innative plant production.
- Has a working knowledge of safe working practices relatingto horticulture.
Special Conditions:
- May be required to participate in emergency preparedness,response and recovery activities required by governmentagencies.
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, orprovide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allowsyou to work in Australia.
- The incumbent may be required to work a mix of weekdays andweekends.
- Wearing a company uniform during working hours and/or whenrepresenting the department is mandatory.
- This role requires candidates to provide a NationallyCoordinated Criminal History Check which must be renewed everythree years before expiry. DEW will cover the cost ofrenewal.
Remuneration
GSE2 $41.31 min - $41.73 max per hour inclusive 25% casual loadingin lieu of annual leave and sick leave.
