About the Role The security team at this site plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, comfort and confidence of the community accessing government services. As the first point of contact for visitors and staff, you will set the tone, delivering a welcoming, respectful and professional experience while maintaining strict adherence to site procedures and security protocols. This is a highly customer-focused role requiring strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to confidently manage difficult or sensitive situations. You will be responsible for maintaining site security while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This is a casual opportunity offering flexibility, with shifts primarily available Monday to Friday during business operating hours. Employment Type: Casual Roster: Monday to Friday Day Shifts (No nights or weekends) Location: Cairns, QLD Key Responsibilities Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Managing access points and maintaining a safe and secure environment Monitoring customer movements throughout the site Delivering exceptional customer service and assistance Identifying and responding appropriately to security incidents De-escalating challenging situations in a calm and skilled manner Supporting emergency response procedures when required Conducting security checks and maintaining site compliance Completing incident reports and daily activity records Building positive relationships with staff, customers and members of the public Maintaining a strong safety-first approach at all times About You Previous experience in customer service,
