Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Consultant, Digital Media Specialist (3 positions available) to join Digital Business Solutions, Administrative Division.

The Consultant, Digital Media Specialist is one of several multiskilled specialists within a team of digital production professionals with diverse skills in video and audio production, post-production and project management.This position will lead media production projects as well as contributing specialist skills as part of a production team, including editing and delivery. Working within a energetic team production environment, the position shares expertise and knowledge to uplift digital literacy across QUT. The role is required to keep up to date with and utilise contemporary and emerging media delivery and formats.

What you need to succeed

- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience in video and/or audio production or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in scoping, planning, producing and delivering digital media in traditional and emerging formats.
- Proven technical skills in digital media production and post-production including recording of sound and vision, video editing, audio editing, motion graphics, GFX and animation.
- Demonstrated experience contributing as an effective team member to achieve organisational goals and meet client needs, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- High level interpersonal skills with demonstrated experience in consulting and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong written and visual communication skills with a proven ability to develop effective digital media.
- Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines with minimum supervision.
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity and Indigenous Australian engagement.
