Role Description

Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking a CASA B2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer for an urgent, short-term contract opportunity in Darwin, Northern Territory.

This opportunity will provide temporary cover for an existing B2 engineer and is suited to an experienced general aviation engineer who can support avionics and electrical maintenance activities within an active aviation operation.

The assignment is expected to run for approximately 6–8 weeks, depending on operational requirements, with the potential for an extension.

The successful candidate will work within a professional general aviation environment supporting aircraft maintenance operations in Darwin. Experience with Cessna piston aircraft, Caravan, Conquest and Metro aircraft will be highly regarded.

You will:

- Provide B2 avionics and electrical maintenance support across a general aviation fleet.
- Assist with aircraft fault-finding, troubleshooting and rectification.
- Carry out avionics and electrical maintenance activities within your licence privileges and authorisations.
- Support aircraft inspections and maintenance requirements.
- Assist with identifying and resolving electrical and avionics faults.




- Complete maintenance documentation and certification in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and organisational procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to support operational requirements.
- Maintain a solid focus on safety, compliance and maintenance quality.
- Communicate effectively with engineering personnel and other operational stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

Licence:

- Current CASA-issued B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence.
- General Aviation maintenance background.
