Showroom Manager - Sales and Business Developement

Cook & Bathe is looking for a commercially driven, hands‑on Showroom Manager to take ownership of our Burwood showroom. This is not a position for someone who simply maintains a roster and waits for customers to arrive. We need a leader who sells alongside the team, builds local business relationships and sets uncompromising standards for customer service and showroom presentation.

What you will own

- Maximise every walk-in opportunity: lead by example on the floor, coach the team to qualify needs, quote confidently, follow up and close sales.
- Build local trade sales: proactively visit and develop relationships with builders, plumbers, renovators, designers and other local industry professionals; generate appointments and repeat business.
- Lead and lift the team: set clear daily expectations, monitor results, develop product and selling skills and address underperformance.
- Own the customer experience: make sure every customer is acknowledged, served professionally and given a clear next step.
- Keep Burwood presentation‑ready: maintain the showroom inside and out, including cleanliness, signage, accurate pricing and complete,



current and well‑maintained displays.
- Keep cash‑and‑carry products available: monitor core stock, coordinate replenishment and reduce avoidable lost sales.
- Track performance and report directly to Ameet Parmar, Operations Manager; work collaboratively with the central trade team on accounts and pricing.

What you bring

- Proven success in sales‑led showroom or branch management, with the confidence to personally sell and close.
- A demonstrated ability to prospect for and develop trade or qualified customer relationships—not just service existing accounts.
- Experience coaching a team, setting expectations and holding people accountable for results.
- High standards of customer service, visual presentation, follow‑through and operational discipline.
- Practical knowledge of bathrooms, plumbing, kitchens, tiles, appliances or building products is highly regarded.
- A proactive, visible leadership style: comfortable on the floor, on the phone and out meeting customers.
