About the Role

BMD is seeking experienced Senior Project Engineers to join our growing teams across South East Queensland, regional Queensland and the Northern Territory.

Working across our diverse portfolio of major civil infrastructure projects, you will play a key role in leading engineering and construction delivery, managing project packages and driving successful project outcomes.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will provide technical leadership, coordinate construction activities, manage subcontractors and stakeholders, and oversee project planning, quality, safety and commercial performance.

With opportunities across a range of major infrastructure projects,



you'll gain exposure to complex construction environments while working alongside experienced industry professionals.

We offer flexibility through both local and FIFO opportunities:

- Local South East Queensland: 5/2 roster.
- FIFO Queensland and Northern Territory: 15/6 roster.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead engineering and construction activities across major civil works packages.
- Manage project planning, programming and construction delivery.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
- Monitor project costs, productivity and commercial performance.
- Oversee quality assurance, technical compliance and documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical and construction challenges.
- Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Site Engineers.
- Drive strong safety, environmental and quality outcomes.

Skills and Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience in a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer position.
- Strong knowledge of civil construction, including earthworks, roads, bridges, structures or drainage.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage subcontractors.
- Strong commercial, planning and programming capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Ability to work a local 5/2 or FIFO 15/6 roster.
